Privacy & ROMs

What Ghostframe does with your game and your data

Short version: nothing leaves your computer unless you send it, and we never touch the game itself.

Game ROMs

Ghostframe does not include, host, download, link to or share any game ROM. To use it, you supply a ROM you dumped from your own cartridge.

The app checks the ROM by its fingerprint (SHA-1) and reads it in place. It never copies, modifies or uploads it. League servers never send or receive ROMs: every machine uses its owner's copy.

API keys

Your Jev and Anthropic keys are stored on your computer, encrypted with Windows data protection, and used only to call those providers.

If you choose to pay for a league run with your own keys, they're sent with that one submission. The league keeps them in memory for that run only, and never stores, logs or returns them.

Leaderboards

Public boards show verified runs only: build name, in-game time, splits, cost and date.

Player names appear only for players who turn on "Show my name on the public site". Prompts, build settings and keys are never published.

Your computer

The game runs in a hidden emulator controlled through its own interface. Ghostframe never moves your mouse, presses your keys or reads your screen, and its local server only listens on your own machine.
